Tendai arrived in Auckland with a big dream and a laptop. Today their tech startup employs a growing team and serves clients across the Asia-Pacific region.
The Beginning
After moving from Zimbabwe, Tendai spent the first year understanding the local market, attending tech meetups, and building connections in the startup ecosystem.
Finding the Opportunity
Tendai noticed that small businesses in New Zealand needed affordable, localized software solutions. That insight became the foundation of their company.
Overcoming Challenges
Funding was the biggest hurdle. Without a local track record, securing investment was tough. But through persistence and the support of mentors from the Afropreneurs community, Tendai secured their first round of funding.
